2nd Series - Flight A

The second series in Flight A was also a water triple with a double blind. Unfortunately, this test was scrapped by the judges as the first 5 dogs had difficulty completing the test within the 15 minute per dog time frame. In the video below I talked with MARC President Fred Nusbickle and event Secretary Beth Gerdes about the test cancelation.

Plan B is to go back to their original plans and run their second series of a land/water test with a single blind and it's a walkup.

As the dogs come out of the blind and head to the line a very short gun station on their right launches a bird from a large tree out into the field. Next, is the flyer which is deep and in the middle of the test. The go bird is launched from the other side of a pond which on the left side of the line and this bird reaches the near shoreline.

After the marks are complete a single land blind is required to complete the test. This blind is on the backside of the flyer station. There are two round bails of hay which is the right side of the blind and it's tempting for the dogs to go between them when the line to the blind is to the left of those bails. A diversion shot comes from the walkup gun station as the dogs head to the blind. This could create suction back to the walkup bird.
